With the arrival of new baby Mason Shawn was only able to make it to a few races but when he showed up the competition knew he was there.

In Irwindale Shawn had to start 16th after having to spend qualifying getting his truck together after a new paint job but after a long hard race Shawn came up from the back and finished 4th.

In Havasu Shawn had a great qualifying run and was able to race in the trophy dash. In the main event he started 4th was having a great race until he picked up debris on the track and got a flat after getting back out on the track he finished 12th

The Blyth race Shawn once again ran the trophy dash and pulled out a nice win there. started the main event in 10th position and after a long race came out with a top 5 finish.

The 2010 race season is dedicated to one of the biggest supporters of Shawn Steele Motorsports,

Mr. Lyle B. Scotton 8-15-1920 1-5-10.

Shawn had a great relationship with Mr. Scotton and Lyle was one of his biggest fans. Lyle attended two races in which Shawn started in back on account of work schedule. Shawn finished 3rd and 4th in the races. Mr. Scotton loved to talk about it saying “I know if Shawn could have qualified he would have won.” Lyle was an active Masonic member and hard worker in his shop making precision auto body tools. He was also a veteran from World War II serving on a battle ship. All of us are thankful to have gotten to know and share our racing passion with him.
